I offer private coaching to those who are preparing for their auditions to dance conservatories and university programmes. I focus on the dance, performance, and personal skills required for an audition, and can help with creating solos as well as video-editing. I have helped students get into prestigious dance programmes on scholarship around the world including Boston Conservatory at Berklee (USA), Northern School of Contemporary Dance (UK), University of Michigan Department of Dance (USA), Chapman University Department of Dance (USA), and Connecticut College Dance Department (USA).
One-on-one’s are a wonderful way to start from the beginning or to complement your training. At the moment I offer private lessons to all levels in ballet, contemporary, improvisation, and fitness/strengthening around London, Switzerland, and via zoom. I design a programme tailored to your individual goals where we address your strengths and weaknesses and monitor your progress together.
GAGA: I spent a year in Tel Aviv, Israel, delving into the movement research practise called Gaga following their Gaga Teacher Training programme under the mentorship and direction of Bosmat Nossan and Ohad Naharin. Gaga was developed by the former house choreographer of Batsheva Dance Company, Ohad Naharin, and has benefits to dancers and non-dancers that have seen widespread demand. I completed my training in September 2021 and teach around the UK and Switzerland.
I will forever owe Celine for what her teaching did for my life. She introduced me to contemporary and opened my eyes to dance techniques and styles I had no idea about. I always felt calm enough to concentrate in her classes. I could rely on my thoughts being less loud when she was teaching as she has a calm energy that keeps the class going at a good pace, without any long pauses between exercises so its easier to stay focused. I’m in training to dance contemporary professionally now and am still realising how lucky I was to have been guided and taught by someone who knows as much as Celine, and who also cares as much as she does. Had she not taught me, I would not be where I am now, I will never be able to thank her enough.
Someone that I will forever be grateful for in my training is Celine. She truly shaped me as a dancer and opened my eyes to a whole new world of creating and movement. When I first started working privately with Celine I had no confidence, and I hadn’t found my own voice in dance yet. She really pushed me every week to search and explore outside of my comfort zone and to develop my artistic voice. She helped me so much with my vocational auditions, not just to be physically prepared but also mentally, and she has continued to support me in my journey overseas. I would not be the dancer I am today without Celine - just by watching and listening to her I learnt so much and I constantly refer back to her advice or tips when I am practicing. She is such a beautiful dancer, creator, and person, I am very lucky she has played such a big role in my journey.
Céline’s focus on finding my own artistry and creativity within movement really helped me to grow as a dancer. She is a kind and patient teacher, with a wealth of knowledge about the contemporary dance world. She is also a brilliant dancer, which makes her classes very inspiring. I gained strength, creativity and technique whilst training with her, and her advice and coaching was hugely beneficial in my development as an artist. My time working with Céline was pivotal in my preparation and acceptance to study dance at university. She is great!
